"Hasbarite Queens" Revisited

Who's Indigenous? Certainly Not Ryan!
I have a simple question. In this season of superior repentance, how can we as Jews undertake authentic collective teshuva as a nation and return to Torah values, when so many Jews have screwed up notions about their own identity? This pathetic tendency is best illustrated with the never-ending campaign of clueless Jewish organizations who recruit gentile hasbara tokens to speak on our behalf. And invariably, they pick the most self-serving, ignorant, career hasbara, parrots, who feed like gluttonous pigs on the swollen teat of Jewish stupidity. Bnai Brith token Ryan "Mervin" Bellerose is Exhibit A of this pathetic phenomenon.
Hence, the current Jewish preoccupation with asinine claims of "indigeneity", a claim which has much in common with phrenology. Plenty of dolts may see truth in pseudoscience, but delusions are the dreams of the deranged. No thinking person gives a damn about Indigenous assertions. Despite the popularity of the hasbara machine's use of "indigenous rights" to justify our Jewish claim to Israel, the naked truth is that we Jews are not indigenous to Eretz Yisrael. Because indigenous is a made-up term for liberal sociologists to quibble over.
And yet Israel still exclusively belongs to us. For one reason: because G-d gave it to us. Flora and fauna may be indigenous, but people migrate, conquer, and settle. They fight wars of conquest and the losers disappear in one form or another. Take the Indians for example who migrated from their "indigenous" Siberia to North America, where they butchered, maimed, and displaced one another long before the white man ever spotted the continent from the sea.
Ryan in classic form, opining on all matters of Jewish history and identity. |
From a Torah perspective, we Jews have Divine rights. We arrived and conquered the Canaanites. We could have done a better job. But the archaeological record confirms biblical accounts. Tel Chatzor is evidence of Joshua's total destruction of that Canaanite stronghold. But hasbara shill Bellerose needs to ignore the Torah and history, or he might have to get a real job. His hatred for those who disagree with him somehow disappears when he argues with say a Yehuda Hakohen who considers Arabs AND Jews to be indigenous to the region. One could logically argue that Hakohen's interpretation should pose a greater threat to Ryan's argument since Hakohen's application of the term threatens his own interpretation, and Hakohen's theory would render Ryan's irrelevant. But Bellerose is a petty man, and he makes his living from this made-up term. Why fight someone who believes in the term, when he can attack those of us who discredit the whole concept? Here we see how personal gain and arrogance trump the truth.
And so, when faux-Native American "indigenous rights activist" Bellerose was questioned a short while ago about his promised book on indigenous rights, for which he raised over 21,000 dollars with a "GoFundMe" account, he responded by sharing the following sampling on his Facebook wall. Complete garbage. I was surprised that he had the chutzpah to submit such a poorly written piece as an example of a chapter.
While I frequently get under Ryan's skin and force him to resort to defamation when I obliterate his nonsensical beliefs, I was not the party he references. I would have never recommended that he submit something as proof, since I knew he could easily put together some foolishness under the pretext of it "still being in the editing phase". Prepare yourself for a cloying example of a buffoon's arrogant drivel. Neither witty nor wise, but here it is:
Ryan: Someone has been posting defamatory statements accusing me of being a "con man" asking where the book is that I have been writing and inferring that I am not writing at all.
I have been writing and the book is in first edit, I reworked some of it. I have posted excerpts before but here is a sample chapter. It hasnt passed first edit so forgive any typos and its not finished obvs
Chapter #
“There is no point in talking about shit that doesn’t matter, it’s boring and nobody cares, when you do that, you lose your audience.”- Merv
There is a school of advocacy that is extremely counterintuitive to me, basically its based on poker, where you never expose your hand so to speak. Never talk about the key issue because you might alienate some of your audience just by making the assumption that the key issue is important.
Several mainstream organisations that were doing pro israel work actually taught young advocates to avoid talking about the “settlements” because in their words “ you shouldn’t defend the undefendable.” that defeatist attitude permeated their advocacy and the adversaries not only noticed it, they attacked it. If there is one thing that I have learned in my sojourns on the interwebs its that the asshats smell inconsistency and indecision like a shark smells blood, if you act like you have something to hide, they will find it. The proper way to attack any argument is not to be spineless and apologetic but to go on the attack. If all the other side wants to talk about is the “settlements” you better be able to defend them with all your heart, because thats the hill they are choosing and you better not die on it! This is what leftwing pro Israel advocates havent figured out yet. All the flowery arguments fail if you cant defend the most basic thing, a Jews right to live in peace in his ancestral homeland. I am sure you have seen these guys ina debate, they are the ones who when asked a question, try to reframe it in an obvious way and the audience sees that and immediately thinks they are avoiding the question because they have no rebuttal. I advocate something much different, its call being unapologetic. Why should you be ashamed to be defending one of the most basic rights of indigenous people? The right to self determination on our ancestral lands? The main reason I am writing this book is that there is way too much apologetic bullshit coming form our side. “ yes the settlements are bad but israel makes cherry tomoatoes” argumentation that literally makes our side look like a bunch of people with aspergers.
The other side never admits any culpability so they dont even have to worry about looking apologetic. Our side is constantly “meeting them partway” but there is no quid pro quo. This is something the other side has done much better than our side, and its actually kind of funny because they don’t even have the advantage of having the truth on their side. They BELIEVE their side is right and They actually have to really believe in what they argue because its so rife with mental gymnastics that any honest questioning of their narrative at all leads to the realisation that their entire side is based on a foundation of bullshit. If you watch them, they tend to argue by rote, literally by the numbers. The best way to beat someone like that is to remain calm and press their buttons. They will invariably lose their cool and say something stupid, that’s when you press the attack and start throwing facts at them. If you do it before then, they might actually try to refute them, if you wait till they are losing it, they will almost always descend to insults and even if they do not, their anger makes them sound like they are weak.
I often use humour to destroy their points but if thats not your strong suit its ok, but know this, there is nothing more destructive to an overwrought emotional dramatic argument than a witty one liner. It is something I have become known for.
To understand why they work,Its important to understand a few things about the actual argumentation, the patterns they use, the tricks they try to get you off your game, and the basic phases and statements they tend to overuse. Once you understand that, you will find that the one liners come easy.
They ALWAYS go on the attack, they do this because they know they cannot defend the arabs human rights records, or the fact that the PLO and Hamas are actually terrorist groups. They cannot defend the human rights abuses or the outright child abuse and animal abuse endemic in arab society in the levant, so instead they will start off with what I call the “baffle them with bullshit” technique, basically they will introduce several antisemitic or anti Israel tropes into their opening as possible, knowing that you cannot refute every single one without sounding pendantic or overbearing. I will pick the most egregious one and refute that one THOROUGHLY, and while making sure to say “ there are too many lies for me to refute every single one so I picked the worst one.” now the moderator might say “please feel free to refute them” in which case you destroy each one, but if he doesn’t, then you still introduce doubt to anyone listening/watching.
Now instead of just refuting their points you MUST immediately go on the attack, depending on their statement you will have a few options. My favourite one is to question their most common and bombastic claims.
Ie “israel is an apartheid state” the immediate response is not to say “ no its not.” say “ Ok if you make that claim, an apartheid state is one that has two seperate laws for two seperate people in the same nation state, can you please tell me 3 laws that make israel an apartheid state?.” now you just showed the audience that you know what the real definition of apartheid is, while asking them to back up a claim that cannot be backed up.
“Israel is illegal under international law!” really? Can you please quote those laws because actually under UN resolution 242, israel is absolutely a legal and valid state as determined by the league of nations at san remo and reinforced by the Un with resolution 242, so which laws exactly are you quoting?
I will go into detail in a later chapter with the standard arguments and some good responses but I hope you see the difference between responding aggressively and just being defensive.
One thing I like to lead with is something I use when my opponent uses the “rising voice” trick. I am sure you have all seen it, its when someone starts off speaking quietly and slowly raises their voice, until at the denoument, they are literally yelling. Its a way to engage people emotionally and a historical figure who used it to great effect was someone all Jews should know about. Adolf Hitler. If you watch his speeches, he always starts off calm, but works himself up into a froth, repeating key statements and slowly getting louder and louder until he is yelling. He used flourishing hand motions and table pounding for emphasis as well. Many arab orators use this technique as well. Funny that.
So when my opponent uses it, I always refer to them being from the “adolf hitler school of public speaking” almost every time several people will recognise it and laugh. I sometimes even mock them with a short impersonation to show how facile and transparent that technique is to anyone who is paying attention.

I sometimes even mock them with a short impersonation to show how facile and transparent that technique is to anyone who is paying attention.
Also think of a good argument as fishing, you cant just drop a line and grab the fish, you gotta bait the hook, you gotta set the hook and then you reel it in carefully. I think the bait is that they think you wont refute their bullshit, the hook is the mistake they invariably make with making an untrue statement and the reeling in, is you making damn sure that everyone listening can see the lie. Because here is the thing about debates, if you tell a lie in one, and get caught, you lose. Because once people see you lie, you lose credibility. This is why you gotta be prepared, and also never say anything you do not believe. I am not talking about picking at dates or stats, if they say “in 1945” when you know it was 47 just say “47” and dont refer back to it, you made your point that you knew and they didn’t, I am talking about stuff like “ The Jews were never living there” kind of stuff, thats when you hammer home every point you know that shows they were.
I expect the apology and donation to shortly follow, you know who you are.
absolutely no regards
Ryan
Ryan
See what happens when you type in "hasbara clown" as a Google search 🤡? Ryan shows up, along with an anti-Semitic "Pennywise" meme, Elizabeth Warren, Kay Wilson and even notorious missionary Dumisani Washington. Both alongside Bellerose!
Portrait of a bottom-feeding, halacha denigrating, white-hating bigot. The mascot for the "Oppression Olympics", a foolish social justice term that Ryan dishonestly takes credit for coining.
It is no wonder that Ryan "works" for Bnai Brith Canada. As an angry white liberal who decided to go native in middle age, he is the by-product of a certain degree of privilege which he now feels guilty about and rejects. With his petulant contrived sense of righteousness. Ryan exposes that he is every bit the social justice complaining cream-puff that he rails against. Yet all of this should be irrelevant to Jews, since such a person has nothing to say to Jews about anything. Not about Torah. Not about Israel. And not about identity. Ryan is irrelevant to Native-Americans. He doesn't speak for the Metis in Canada, or any indigenous people anywhere. So what does he have to say to us Jews? Jews should learn from the Indians and Metis. They ignore Ryan Bellerose and so should we.
Let the Master of Ceremonies of the Oppression Olympics continue to do his thing. He has a Facebook page, a handful of accounts, which provide him a forum for an irrational echo-chamber. Thinking Jews see through his ruse. Oppression Olympics? Thy Name Is Mervin.

Aboriginal A**hat: Special Guest Feature
The esteemed Dr. Schwartz reflects on the meaning of life. |
Aboriginal A**hat - Special Guest Feature: By Dr. Moshe Schwartz, a renowned expert on "Hasbarite Syndrome", indigenous rights, Metis culture, and daggers of the Levant. Dr. Schwartz is also the object of infamous "hasbarite" Ryan Bellerose's unhealthy fixation, in what has been identified by many observers as a troubling case of repressed man-love. Nevertheless, Dr. Schwartz retains his patented logical approach whenever dissecting Mr. Bellerose's frayed psyche, and has even recommended professional counseling on multiple occasions. At the core, Dr. Schwartz maintains that the absence of a romantic life contributes greatly to the pent-up frustration of this man-child. Naturally, Chief Faux-Cohontas reacts with petulance and hostility to such sage and professional advice. "The Judean Hammer" is privileged to benefit from Dr. Schwartz's wisdom and contribution to the blog.
*It is also known in social media circles, that whenever Mr. Bellerose discovers that he and Dr. Schwartz have a mutual Facebook friend, the petulant one invariably cyber-stalks the common friend and demands that he unfriend Dr. Schwartz.
Aboriginal A**hat
An introductory essay by the esteemed Viennese psychologist, anthropologist, sociologist, and expert of Indigenous Cultures; Dr. Moshe (Der Goose) Schwartz PhD.
Metis people having fun. |
As you can see from the article, the Metis "cultural genesis" is directly linked to intermarriage
and assimilation by French Fur traders and the Cree people. Now consider for example the Creole or people of Appalachia, both of whom would not exist without European
colonization, similar to the Meti. Would they also be considered indigenous? All
three have a DISTINCT history and culture, several hundred years old.The following article
details a court case where the Meti did not wish to be identified as
"Indian" or "Inuit":
"The Supreme Court also recognized that the Métis have the right to exclude other Aboriginal peoples in defining who they are and in their negotiations with governments for Métis-specific agreements and arrangements. Specifically, the Supreme Court wrote, “object of enhancing the identity, culture and self-governance of the Métis as a s. 35 group, of necessity, must permit the exclusion of other s. 35 groups since an essential part of their unique identity is that they are “not Indian” and “not Inuit”.” The court also emphasized that “in any identification of Métis courts must approach the task of reviewing membership requirements with prudence and due regard to the Métis’ own conception of the distinct features of their community.”
“The Métis Nation is extremely
pleased with today’s decision. While this case protects the Alberta Métis
Settlements for Métis for generations to come, it also sends a clear message to
governments that outstanding Métis land and rights issues must be addressed as
a part of the reconciliation process flowing from s. 35 of the Constitution
Act, 1982 and the legitimate expectations of Métis pursuant to that
constitutional promise,” concluded President Chartier."
Are the Meti a distinct people with a unique history? Absolutely. Are they Native Indians? Logic and the facts on the ground suggest otherwise. Again, my issue is NOT with the Meti people but with a
Hasbarite fraud who assumes he is more knowledgeable about Jews and
Torah than learned Jews. Ryan Bellerose is a hustler and a con man, who will continue to switch
his story as it benefits him.In conclusion, the following screenshots show that those who know the history and are aware of the facts think likewise:

Bnai Brith: A Relic And A Reminder
Don't mess with the Bnai Brith! |
There are simpletons on the hasbara scene today, who have this absurd notion that the Bnai Brith is a right-wing organization. It might have to do with the fact that hasbara's token fake Indian, Ryan Mervin Bellerose, currently works for them and he insists that it is so. That is, if you can call what Bellerose does "work". Basically he posts "indigenous rights" nonsense on Bnai Brith Canada's Facebook page, and tweets about their nebbish "what will the goyim think?" activism.
For the ill-informed, Bnai Brith is about as right-wing as Rosie O'Donnell. In the following screenshot, we see them call out President Trump for his decision to keep mentally-ill transsexuals out of the military. But for the BB, this and other leftist "social issues" are reason to scream "shanda!" to the Heavens.
- In the following screenshot we see that renowned posek of Jewish law, Rabbi Mervin Bellerosenberg, opine on the halachic issue of ascending Har HaHabayit. Of course there are varying halachic positions both supporting and prohibiting ascension, but this ignorant gentile blowhard thinks that because he heard some cookie-cutter religious-zionists express one position, that suddenly makes him an authority.
- Jews are the closest thing to the Canaanites. So according to his magical theory we never displaced or killed the Canaanites, but simply became them. Unfounded claims based on nothing.
- Jews have more "Canaanite blood" than anyone else. More stupid blood-based assertions based on the former, with a similar lack of evidence.
As I've noted before, which studies show such foolishness? Surely the existence of Jewish religion and culture and the lack of Canaanite religion/culture/identity prove otherwise. Blood based theories? Which studies prove that Jews have Gibeonite blood? Such pseudo-historical foolishness.
Finally, Dr. Bellerosenkranz, that famed historian, has also on occasion resorted to the following tactics to contest the biblical narrative. He tends to save the latter one for his secular supporters, since the brazen disregard for tradition of this claim, would put off many religious supporters:
- The ‘where are the Canaanites today’ argument. In other words, if there were some Canaanites around then they MAY have a claim. According to this logic the failure of say the “white colonists” in America was that they neglected to exterminate every Indian, which would have included the theoretical possibility of being indigenous.
- His ignorant assertion that the historical record shows that the biblical account didn't happen as recorded. Here he offends Jewish sensibilities by denying the truth of the historical conquest. Of which there is MUCH proof. Tel Chatzor for example. Even notorious biblical critics don't like the fact that Chatzor's destruction layer damages much of their assertions:
The indigenous Roman-Catholic Bellerose tribe. |
Rarely do people call Ryan out, since his Facebook wall is a notorious echo chamber. Ryan unfriends and blocks people who have the gall to disagree with him or call him out. When "The Judean Hammer" had a Facebook page (before Ryan and his like-minded hasbara minions reported it) we often received messages from these people who admitted that we were right all along and that Ryan was a nasty bully. But sometimes, people on his wall do have the courage to call him put for his falsehood:
Perhaps this explains so much about Ryan Bellerose, and why he maintains that Bnai Brith is a hard-core activist group. He doesn't realize how little he knows. In many ways he resembles Ned Beatty's character in Deliverance. Because he doesn't know nothing.
*For those who require a comprehensive surgical dissection of one of this clown's first articles for the hasbarite blog "IsraellyCool", check out the following link: https://thejudeanhammer.blogspot.co.il/2017/06/ryan-bellerose-hasbara-bottom-feeder.html
Unfortunately, Ryan lacks the intellect to understand the original article (not to mention my rebuttal) so don't expect a cogent response. Ryan shows how clueless he is at the beginning of the article when he confuses me with someone else whose previous article he supposedly "destroyed". Ironically, the article of mine which he references was the very first one I ever wrote on the issue of "indigenous rights" and how it has nothing in common with Judaism. True to form, Ryan has NEVER responded in any manner which would display a modicum of intellect. (His standard response is to call people a**hats.)

Bnai Brith Bubbies Unite!
Contemporary hasbara (Jewish advocacy) is shameless and undignified. Limp-wristed in thought and in deed. Few organizations illustrate this truism as clearly as the liberal Bnai Brith. When Lenny Bruce called the Bnai Brith goyish, he knew exactly what he was talking about.
When they are not bowling, hosting interfaith Passover Seders, advocating for gay rights, or opposing sane policies to keep terrorists out of North America, sometimes the Bnai Brith "reports" hate crimes to the authorities. Naturally, the anti-semites of the world are trembling, knowing that within 24 hours of your call to the Bnai Brith hotline, these great Jewish warriors will send someone to your house to remove the swastika with bleach. This terrifies them immensely.
The Bnai Brith and other mainstream hasbara organizations are a part of the problem, because they impede true Torah solutions and in it's stead, they propagate liberal values. And in the quest to appear universal, they and other like-minded hasbara organizations are obsessed with finding exotic gentile tokens, so that the world won't think that they only care about (or employ) Jews. Because that would be a genuine "shanda for the goyim."
Naturally they are always on the lookout for the next best thing. Rumor has it that the Bnai Brith is desperate for a real Native-American, but as a rule they take what they can get. Nevertheless, it's hardly an optimal situation for them. And it doesn't help that clever memes (like the one below) are really taking the piss out of the Metis mythos. It's becoming ridiculous.
In the meantime insiders are reporting that BB is carefully grooming their rising star, "Eskimo Boy". But such projects take time, and Eskimo Boy is but a child.

Portrait of a Hasbara Bottom-Feeder
For several of my previous articles destroying the "indigenous rights" narishkeit, check out:
- followed by a dissection of a silly Jew's rebuttal: http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/we-are-still-not-indigenous-a-counter-response/2016/03/28/
Author's Note: This is a necessary post to deal with a nasty man. Ryan Bellerose isn't merely misguided. Were that the case, I would ignore him. But his presence on the hasbara scene is toxic, as I hope to document. A man who interferes in Jewish affairs and introduces nonsensical notions to confused Jews. A man who slanders and libels people. A man who regularly betrays his friends when he exhausts their resources and then stabs them in the back. A peddler of lies and a teller of tales. A dishonest man who has a fund-raising racket that is obscene and needs to be called out. Ironically, some of the most honest assessments of him, came from those who still support him.
You probably never heard of Ryan Mervin Bellerose, unless you fall into his fan-base of insecure, nebbish, ashkenazi (yet ashkenazi denigrating) Jews trying to feel exotic. This includes an eclectic group of bored housewives-usually aging and unhappy, spoiled, simpletons who don't have to work for a living, and deluded misfits who gravitate to whatever is current on the clueless hasbara scene.
Of course you haven't heard of him, unless you live for such weak-kneed Jewish advocacy as "StandWithUs" and the like. Why would you? Ryan works for the Bnai Brith.

For those who don't know, Ryan is one of the more odious "hasbara" tokens on the scene today. Obnoxious and ignorant as a doorknob. A charlatan who purports to be an Indian and also self-identifies as a Metis. Which one is it? And why does he choose two identities but rejects the third. A middle aged white man who until a few years ago identified as a Roman Catholic. An unsavory man who "GoFundsMe" his narcissistic life under the pretext of a
supposed upcoming treatise on "indigenous rights". And to top it off, he has the
gall to lecture Jews (he isn't even Jewish) on Torah, Judaism, and identity.
In truth, Ryan has a problem. He should never write that promised book on indigenous rights for which he raised over 21 thousand dollars on GoFundMe. He will get eviscerated, just based upon so many contradictory statements over the years between his articles and glib Facebook posts. In any event, he has no choice. He must write the book or be exposed as a fraud who took money to travel, eat, and do whatever he wants. On the other hand, the book will be a treasure trove of nonsense to be eviscerated on all sides of the spectrum.

Ryan Bellerose is the kind of man who threw his former patron and friend under the bus because she dared
retain a friendship with someone he disagreed with. A man who has no
principles, panders to every side, and even associates himself with
missionaries like the notorious Dumisani Washington. Let me be very clear. I am
not calling him a missionary. But he is certainly friends with missionaries and
those Jews who enable them. Bnai Brith's online activist, Ryan Mervin
Bellerose. Furthermore, and this is key, Ryan attacks good Jews who call out people like Washington and the Jewish enablers who support him. This is perhaps the most cloying aspect of this man-child's personality. He interferes and picks the wrong side. Because he wants to eat at the hasbara trough.
Oh, lest I
forget. He's also self-hating bigot who hates and denigrates white people, and
rails against "Jews acting white". The irony is that much of his
support comes from ashkenazi, "white", politically conservative Jews
who parrot his nonsense. Bored people with too much time on their hands. He also resents Jews of color, because they have something he
lacks. Dark skin. Ryan is race obsessed.
My first encounter with Ryan was his childish
nasty response to my first article on the Jewish perspective on “indigenous
rights”. His response was a hastily written screed where he personally attacked me, because I dared question his foolish beliefs. The reader
can check my original article and his subsequent response to get an inkling of
how Ryan reacts to an opposing thought. Like a child with a temper tantrum, who
bites you because you wouldn’t let him stuff his face with all the cookies.
I’ve decided to chop up his very first article
with hasbara blog IsreallyCool because it represents his first convoluted attempt to define
indigenous rights. The problem with this article was that he stuck his foot in his mouth and has since had to redefine, de-emphasize,
manipulate and lie about his statements since he was called out. Specific
examples will follow, although I will not comment on every single bullet point.
Here it is, and it truly is nonsense:
Ryan Mervin Bellerose (henceforth RMB): I am a Métis from Paddle Prairie Metis settlement. My
father, Mervin Bellerose, co-authored the Métis Settlements Act of 1989, which
was passed by the Alberta legislature in 1990 and cemented our land rights. I
founded Canadians For Accountability, a native rights advocacy group, and I am
an organizer and participant in the Idle No More movement in Calgary. And I am
a Zionist.
Donny Fuchs (Henceforth DF):
For the record, “Idle No More” is a racist, anti-Israel, militant Native American group whose members have assaulted innocent whites in Canada. In
recent years, Ryan distanced himself from the group and he is no longer
involved with them. There is no evidence that Ryan had any involvement in any
of these violent attacks, but it sheds light on the group. From many
online comments, one gets the impression that Ryan wasn’t embraced by the group
and that personal insult rather than a sudden love for Israel may have
contributed to his disaffection. From online documentation, it appears he was involved
from 2013-16.
Indigenous status- RMB: To
begin, let us acknowledge that there is no rule that a land can have only one
indigenous people; it is not a zero sum game in which one group must be
considered indigenous so that therefore another is not. However, there is a
very clear guideline to being an indigenous people. It is somewhat complex but
can be boiled down to the checklist below, as developed by anthropologist José
R. Martínez-Cobo (former special rapporteur of the Sub-commission on Prevention
of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities for the United Nations).
DF: Who the hell is José R. Martínez-Cobo, and why do his leftist beliefs and selective criteria based on the
soft-boiled science of sociology have any bearing on truth? Why should any normal
person even accept the concept or Cobo’s definition? And why is the UN and their scholar
relevant when it comes to a definition but not relevant in the application? As
if these were concrete laws of physics and not the ramblings of sociology. Finally, who the hell is Bellerose to decide how many people can be indigenous to a land or why these criteria are even legitimate? He is a nobody and Cobo is a clown. But without the foundation of this U.N. stooge, his whole multicultural farce has no legs.
RMB: This
list was developed because indigenous rights are beginning to be respected
across the planet. This recognition is incredibly important, so we as
indigenous people cannot allow non-indigenous people to make false claims,
which ultimately would harm our own rights. Israel is the world’s first modern
indigenous state: the creation and declaration of the sovereign nation of
Israel marks the first time in history that an indigenous people has managed to
regain control of its ancestral lands and build a nation state. As such, this
is incredibly important for indigenous people both to recognize and to support
as a great example for our peoples to emulate.
DF: According to his own standards, why is Bellerose indigenous?
He is not even Indian. The Metis were never an Indian tribe. They were a mixed
people, discriminated against by both sides, who forged their own self-identity.
By some accounts, Ryan is ¼ Indian. Woody Allen may have as much NA blood
quantum. One of his former patrons noted the absurdity of a middle-aged white man, who until a few years ago identified as conservative and Roman-Catholic. Such a person has the gall to lecture people about identity? Let him find himself!
RMB:The actual working definition of “indigenous people,”
(not the Wikipedia version, nor Merriam Webster, both more suited to plants and
animals) for purposes of this essay is that developed by aforementioned
anthropologist José R. Martínez-Cobo. With this as my foundation, I will detail
why Jews are indigenous to Israel, and why Palestinians are not.
Martinez-Cobo’s research suggests that indigenous
communities, peoples and nations are those which, having a historical
continuity with pre-invasion and pre-colonial societies that developed on their
territories, consider themselves distinct from other sectors of the societies
now prevailing on those territories, or parts of them. They form at present non-dominant
sectors of society and are determined to preserve, develop and transmit to
future generations their ancestral territories, and their ethnic identity, as
the basis of their continued existence as peoples, in accordance with their own
cultural patterns, social institutions and legal system.
This historical continuity may consist of the
continuation, for an extended period reaching into the present of one or more
of the following factors:
- Occupation of ancestral lands, or at least of part of them DF: Ironic from a Native-American perspective, there was no occupation of ancestral lands, since Indians would have to claim Siberia and the surrounding regions as their true ancestral lands. Furthermore, there was no monolithic Indian people and they murdered one another from the onset of their New World experiences. Recent studies show early warfare was way bloodier than today's historical revisionists would have you believe.
- Common ancestry with the original occupants of these lands. DF: For that matter, the Metis have equal ancestry with their supposed colonizers, as Ryan would call them. Ryan takes a love story of different cultures joining in a union, and identifies it as colonization. As if white men were forced on unwilling Indians.
- Culture in general, or in specific manifestations (such as religion, living under a tribal system, membership of an indigenous community, dress, means of livelihood, lifestyle, etc.)
- Language (whether used as the only language, as mother-tongue, as the habitual means of communication at home or in the family, or as the main, preferred, habitual, general or normal language)
- Residence in certain parts of the country, or in certain regions of the world
- Religion that places importance on spiritual ties to the ancestral lands
- Blood quantum – that is, the amount of blood you carry of a specific people to identify as that people. The concept was developed by colonialists in order to eventually breed out native peoples. DF: A race based theory which Ryan has to include, but often minimize, perhaps because his own "blood quantum" is minimal.
Let us now look quickly at the Jews. How do they fit
this definition?
- Their lands were occupied, first by the Romans, then by the Arabs in the seventh century. DF: Correct. But we Jews rightfully colonized the land of the "indigenous" Canaanites, as per G-d’s will.
- They share common ancestry with previous occupants as determined by several genetic studies. DF: What studies show that we share a common ancestry with previous inhabitants? Many claim that Arabs share common ancestry, and assert this as a fact. Furthermore, would colonizing a people but retaining genetic similarity allow one to be indigenous?
- Their culture can be traced directly to the Levant, where it developed into what is now known as “Jewish culture.” While different Jewish communities have slightly different traditions, they all share the same root culture, and it remains unchanged. They have resurrected their traditional language, and while many still speak Yiddish and Ladino, Hebrew has become the primary language again. DF: The Levant is a huge area covering territory outside of Israel. The Southern regions of the Negev were often viewed as one large desert in both directions extending from the left (Egypt) to the right (Saudi Arabia). Geologically, from flora to fauna there is a tremendous homogeneous consistency. Are Bedouins indigenous?
- They have spiritual ties to the land, which plays a large role in their traditions as a people. DF: Are the Congregationalists of New England indigenous, because of their beliefs? What about general advocates of "Manifest Destiny"?
DF: It is our land for one reason. Because
G-d gave it to US, not you Ryan, and instructed US to exterminate the "7 Nations".
RMB: Palestinians have what are called “rights of
longstanding presence;” and although these are legitimate rights, they do not
trump indigenous rights. The very nature of “longstanding presence” means that
although they lived somewhere a long time, they do not have the right to occupy
indigenous peoples and control them.
The argument that Palestinians are indigenous is
incorrect for several reasons.
- Approximately 50% percent of Palestinian Arabs can track their ancestors back farther than their great-grandparents. Many are descended from Arabs brought to the Levant by the British to build infrastructure after World War I
- The vast majority of Palestinians are Arabic speaking Muslims; the Arabic language is indigenous to the Arabian Peninsula, as is the Muslim religion. The Muslim religion’s holiest places are not in the Levant, but in the city of Mecca, located in the Arabian Peninsula. They have no specifically Palestinian culture that is completely Palestinian dating before the 1960s; in fact, prior to that, the majority identified as “greater Syrians.”
- Some Palestinians share common ancestry with indigenous peoples, but they neither follow indigenous traditions nor do they self-identify as those indigenous peoples. They share neither religion nor language with them. Blood quantum alone is insufficient to transmit indigenous status.
- The Arabs of the Middle East subsumed several indigenous populations, but no group can become indigenous through subsuming indigenous peoples. Rather, they conquered the entire region and spread their own language, customs, and religion. This is historical fact.
DF: Why do Palestinians have "rights of long
standing existence"? Another made up concept that Ryan hoists upon us and
demands that we accept blindly. Who says? Certainly not Torah! The Torah grants them no rights at all. This whole charade of selective application of indigeneity is an absurdity. Ironically, Ryan has bigger problems with proponents of "The Judean Hammer" platform than with Alternative Action types such as Yehuda Hakohen who grant equal indigenous rights to Arabs under the rubric of a common Semitic identity. Fools on both sides of the divide.
If conquerors can become indigenous, then the white
Europeans who came to my indigenous lands in North America could now claim to
be indigenous. The white Europeans who went to Australia and New Zealand could
now claim to be indigenous. If we, even once, allow that argument to be made,
indigenous rights are suddenly devalued and meaningless. This is somewhat
peculiar, as those who are arguing for Palestinian “indigenous rights” are
usually those who have little grasp of the history, and no understanding of the
truth behind indigenous rights.
If you should encounter the argument that conquerors may
themselves become indigenous to a region by virtue of conquering, direct those
who assert the argument to this article, and help them understand not only is
the argument wrong – it is dangerous to Indigenous people everywhere.
DF: Then
by definition, WE Jews are not indigenous because we conquered, killed, and
expelled the Canaanites. Ryan has struggled mightily with this one and has made
poor attempts on later occasions to explain away the mistake, including the
seemingly irrelevant claim that in one of my articles I cited the two above paragraphs
in bold, without including the final italicized one. Now I may be slow, but I don’t see
how the final paragraph changes anything. He qualifies his statements on
colonization very clearly. Here he plays a foolish man's game. The first two paragraph's preclude the possibility as an ironclad Ryan rule that conquerors cannot become indigenous. The final paragraph in red, notes that those who maintain they became indigenous by virtue of conquering should refer to this article. Having noted this mistake later on, Ryan claimed that conquering alone doesn't make one indigenous. Of course this is all nonsense since the Indians came and conquered and exterminated other peoples, and then butchered one another.
So, what has Ryan done to
deal with this narrative of Jewish displacement of Canaanites (which I fully
support as a Torah Jew). On different occasions, he throws out some version of
the three arguments below:
- We Jews are the closest thing to the Canaanites. Unfounded claims based on nothing.
- We Jews have more Canaanite blood than anyone else. More stupid blood-based assertions without evidence.
What studies on earth show
such foolishness? Surely the existence of Jewish religion and culture and the
lack of Canaanite religion/culture/identity prove otherwise. Blood based
theories? What studies prove that we Jews have Gibeonite blood? Such perverted pseudo-historical
foolishness.
His third defense is to
inquire ‘where are the Canaanites today’? In other words, if there were some Canaanites
around then they MAY have a claim. According to this logic the failure of the “white
colonists” in America was that they neglected to exterminate every Indian,
which would have included the theoretical possibility of being indigenous.
Pretty sick stuff. So not being exterminationist was the problem, huh Ryan?
Of course, all of this is
nonsense, since Indians came from Siberia and murdered and maimed other peoples
and each other to conquer territory. They did it for centuries.
But according to multicultural theory it is only a crime when Europeans do it.
Kind of reminds me of the disturbing double standard when it comes to calling
out the black community for high murder rates. But I digress.
What if Jews wore head-dresses? Or engaged in a rain dance? |
Isn’t it curious that a Metis from rural Canada supposedly fighting for his own people, requires Jews to give him a forum. Why is that? Because Ryan doesn’t speak for Indians or the Metis, and they wouldn’t pay him even if he did represent them. He needs liberal Jewish organizations because they throw money at token gentiles. There is no Metis equivalent of the Bnai Brith. The hip hasbara organization won’t pay him (despite their occasional use of him), so he went with the antiquated left-wing Bnai Brith, in a move akin to the nervous fumbling of a virgin on his wedding night. Excuse the crude reference but the metaphor is most accurate. Awkward and uncomfortable, but terribly accurate. Who joins the Bnai Brith? Young liberal Jews today are attracted to JStreet, the bastard child of the federations, and despite their Facebook presence the Bnai Brith is as dead as Abe Lincoln.
*Incidentally, I recently stumbled upon this juicy tidbit from a while back and had to include it in this article. By Ryan's logic, being that he cannot cogently explain how Indians and other "native"peoples could exterminate and displace others and be indigenous, or how Jews can be indigenous if we conquered the Canaanites; I believe that there is a strong basis for arguing that the United States and Canada of today are both controlled by indigenous people. Case closed. Shut your mouth Ryan. Incidentally, I love how he says WE, this 3/4 European, formerly Roman Catholic but still very Caucasian dude:
A message to Ryan who slapped the bear:
Go away Ryan. You are a fool. You are guilty of the same cultural appropriation you accuse others of. Whoring yourself for any cause, left, right, or other just to stay relevant. Aligning with the leftist Bnai Brith, the poorly named JDL Canada (more like ADL Canada), and the crime of befriending and supporting missionaries such as Dumisani Washington and troubling personalities like Kay Wilson.

I charge you with fraudulent
fundraising, overall nastiness, ignorance, pettiness, and vindictiveness. You aren’t Jewish and you have no say in our destiny. You don’t represent Jews Judaism
or Israel. You are a hasbara token, solely because Bnai Brith couldn’t get a real
Indian with a head-dress. If they could, you would be out of a job. Nor do you represent
Indians or Metis who want no part of you, and your awkward charade. The Bnai
Brith for G-d’s sake! It’s like a bad joke!
As before I forget Ryan, we are still waiting for that book on indigenous rights you raised over 21 thousand dollars to write. I also remember that you promised me a free copy which I intend to read and eviscerate with a red pen. I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity. Send me a PM and I'll give you my mailing address. Could you autograph it for me?
