My unabashed, unapologetic reflections on Judaism's authentic approach to the physical and spiritual dangers facing the Jewish people today, both in the modern state of Israel and in the diaspora.

I'm Saying It's Cool: Moral Relativism Run Amuck
“I’m saying it’s cool”. Jewish “indigenous rights/alternative peace” activist Yehuda Hakohen justifies the Islamic slaughter of Jews. You can’t make this stuff up. I used to parody people like him. This is real. Minute 13:25. #mercyoffoolsparade https://t.co/GrTu4zdZSp pic.twitter.com/BA6kPQAF1F

Preemptive Attack Or Premature Burial
Video by JerusalemOnline
Originally posted in The Jewish Press: Preemptive Attack Or Premature Burial
Monstrous video footage from Yavne, where an Arab savage repeatedly attacked a Jewish worker with a knife in the middle of a supermarket. The victim remains in serious condition. All Arabs have access to knives, and you don't need a combat knife to attack someone. Basic kitchen implements. They all have them. It all begins with awareness. Basic awareness, and a head that perceives one's surroundings. I am reposting a piece I write a little while back, in response to a renewed series of Arab knife attacks on Jews. Be safe! http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/pre-emptive-attack-or-premature-burial/2017/02/13/

Painted In Blood
Reflections on the recent terror attack where an Arab savage murdered three Jews in Halamish. Now featured in The Jewish Press: Painted In Blood

The New Peace Movements Revisited
They are all over Facebook. Groups such as "LAVI", "Alternative Action", and many others in Israel, who pollute the minds of our most impressionable youth. The tragic face of today's foolish "new peace movements", headed by deluded, guru wannabes, and brain-addled mystics. And so help us G-d, many of them wear kipot. It is peculiar version of a new idolatry today. The so-called Jewish expression of indigenous rights.
But didn't we destroy the 7 Nations? Perhaps we weren't as careful with the mandate as we should have been, but wasn't the halachic imperative clear? Didn't G-d tell us to dispossess the inhabitants lest they be thorns in our eyes?
Ham on shmura matza. Today's Jewish indigenous rights movement has nothing to do with Torah and everything to do with leftist, multicultural, racist, and even Marxist nonsense. Their worldview is perverse and they cater to young liberal Jews with a lie. That these guilt ridden Jews can have the Zionist cake and still share it with our genocidal Arab/Islamic enemies. The solution according to these fools: Embrace our shared "semitism".
Here are several articles where I address these buffoons and their screwy liberal beliefs. They are as far from Torah as Heaven is from hell:
LAVI and Alternative Action view these savages as "indigenous" Semitic partners. |

"Jewish Indigenous Rights" & The New Peace Movements
Not new, but critical to revisit these aggravating topics from time to time. Because the peculiar issues of the "Jewish Indigenous Rights" movement and its relationship with the "New Peace Movements" are often ignored and both notions present strong problems for Torah believing Jews. We Jews have Torah and neither of these beliefs have anything to do with Judaism.
Two articles where I first broached the notion of indigenous rights. I want the reader to also view the comments to see how supposed civil types respond to a differing position. See where the nastiness and vitriol initially stems from. I always invite discussion amidst disagreement, but only when the party is civil. If you draw blood, don't complain when the mud flies:

The New Peace Movements Exposed
Now featured in "The Jewish Press": http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/the-new-peace-movements-exposed/2017/05/30/
It is time once again, G-d help me! to expose the contrived foolishness of the new Jewish "peace movements", those obnoxious groups comprised of bored liberal Anglo-Jews with too much time on their hands. Ironically, the activism of many of these individuals is a definite consequence in some cases of the supposed “exploitative capitalism” many of them rail against. Yet foolishness often comes to those with the sense that one has time on his hands, or with those who harbor the notion of a unique message or teaching they must offer the world. Narcissism and nonsense often mate.
An
amalgam of names: “Alternative Action”,
LAVI, The Home, and a handful of others come to mind. The oft mentioned
calls for a “New Generation” to have a “New Conversation”. They often overlap
with one another and engage in joint projects. And despite their insistence
that they are not the peace industry, they are precisely that. The names may
vary, as do their respective platforms, but they are birds of one feather.
The
difference is that these peaceniks have another delusion. Unlike the “two-state
suicide” camp of the classical left, these groups maintain another lunacy. The
idea that we can coexist in one state with those who wish to destroy us, if we
allow the other side (the Arabs or Muslims) to experience “their own personal narrative”.
As they see it, if we abandon our “white, western, identify” and identify with
a greater “Semitic” sense of self.
Here
are some keys words which make up the skeletons of their nonsensical ideologies:
1.
“Narrative”- Generally refers to
the moral relativism of identifying and empathizing with the Arab sense of
Jewish wrong-doing. Often such people apologize for Arab violence and blame it
on western interference.
2.
Indigenous- A cursory definition
of a term I have discussed elsewhere and will not harp on. A selective
interpretation of this nonsense term. Unlike others, these people self-identify
as such but also grant the same status to Arabs. Hence the need to insist that
we can coexist. Unlike other such pro-Israel activists, these activists add
stupidity to silly sociology which believes in such a notion, which has as much
validity as phrenology.
3.
Conversation- The fantastical
belief that talking with select, token, polite Arabs and drinking coffee will
solve real problems, which as the late Rabbi Meir Kahane always noted correctly
were “immutable” problems.
4.
Western-The sense that the
west is evil and everything “middle eastern” is wonderful. Of course,
Arab/Islamic barbarism worldwide must be minimized and ignored, and is rarely
addressed honestly. So, these liberals
must ignore genital mutilation, stoning’s, throwing homosexuals from roofs,
castration, sexual slavery, classical slavery, honor killings, martyrdom. Once
again, a classic mirroring of western liberalism in our contemporary period.
5.
Semitic Movement-The racial obsession
and self-loathing which requires a magical belief in a shared “race”. According
to this belief, since we are both Semites we must get along.
6.
Colonial- The enduring Arab
jihad be damned. Western colonialism is the greatest evil. The Arabs don’t
really hate us. The West creates this hate. The massacres of Jews in the 20’s
and 30’s up to and including the barbarism of today has no place in their
conversation. Not to mention the horror of dhimmitude since the times of
Mohamed.
A
marriage of magical non-intellectual thinking, pseudo-scientific idiocy, and
liberal naivete. The idea that if we drink Turkish coffee with Salam, suddenly
real grievances will disappear. The Jews of pre-pogrom 1929 Hebron also enjoyed
the company of some of their neighbors. Until one day. That is why these groups
ignore, minimize, or apologize for Arab/Islamic barbarism. It is the fault of
the “WEST”, never the Amalekites on this side of the pond who detonate themselves
on buses in our cities.
The new peace fools are on the move. This is the inevitable
result when self-appointed gurus, peddle corrupt notions of justice to the
deluded masses. The irony is that these silly Jewish indigenous rights
advocates are poster children for western liberalism. Their self-identification
is premised on the guilt-ridden liberal's creation of the notion of indigeneity
(a false concept) which fuels multicultural reverse discrimination. And their
obsession with peace, with those who only understand terror, is yet another example of the
distorted liberal mindset.
In
a recent Facebook post, I noted that the pseudo-babble of these
"Alternative Peace" Jewish Indigenous activists often sounds like
this:
"The paradigm of
intertribal aggression is a symptom of retrograde ionization of the spherical
schemas of our oppression. Because of colonial maladaptive dystopia
deprivation, the oppressed class is subjugated beneath the heel of capitalism's
boot, and thus lashes out to his/her/it's equally exploited peers in a version of cosmic counter-maneuvering to avoid the real
problems. Squares are only squares because the white man told us they were. By
deconstructing the false narrative of Eurocentric privilege, squares can become
round, and round can also be triangular. By allowing my understanding of
cosmological interpretation to allow yours to contradict mine, our lives take
on meaning and we become one. When Hassan says “Itbach El Yahud”, we Jews need
to process his feelings through his prism of active consciousness, and thus
reinterpret perceived aggression as a symptom of our own subjugation by
Europeans. By rejecting European fruit and replacing them with majul dates and
halva, we redeem the shared narrative of Semitic symbiosis and indigenous
hegemony.”
Silliness aside, to my Caucasian Ashkenazi
colonized ear, they sound precisely like this.
These “new peace” activists may think they are "raging
against the machine", but in truth they are an amalgam of "fools on
parade". But the college campuses are inundated with such people, and
these are their target audiences. The kinds of people who may try to reconcile
their Jewish identify in a liberal, progressive, manner which satisfies their
essential beliefs. So, the obligation is to expose these groups and show the
un-Jewish nature of these groups. Far from being eastern, they are naked
byproducts of the excesses of western liberalism, married to the soft-boiled
science of morally relativistic sociology.
Some things you may not know:
·
On the Facebook
page of one Yehuda
HaKohen, a self-styled Jewish indigenous rights activist involved with
the “Alternative Action” peace movement he empathized with the Arab nakba by
noting: I’m not interested in belittling anyone’s pain but I think the
message of Naqba Day would be a lot more powerful and easier for Israelis to
empathize with if it didn’t occur each year on the [solar] date of our
anti-colonialist victory against England. Why not mark the date a Palestinian
community was destroyed or the day Israel decided you aren’t coming back? By
marking the date the British left and the Jews declared independence, you make
it easy for us to believe that this is more about us and less about you (and
some of us really don’t need such assistance).
More wisdom
from HaKohen
during an online lecture:
- · (Minute 14:05) "And Palestinians are caught in the middle of all this. They're obviously victims of this, too."
- · (Minute 17:00) "There's a blind spot. We do have a blind spot when it comes to Palestinians. We're completely insensitive to their pain. It's true."
- · (Minute 1:25:34)"The Palestinian narrative is also true,"
- · (Minute 1:25:55) "In terms of values, I agree with 90% of what the SJP is saying."
- · (Minute 1:30:45) "They are people who are legitimately experiencing an occupation and want to resist it, and I as a human being can't blame them."
·
(Minute 1:36:40) "I live in Beit El..And there's a fence
around Beit El, and I don't see any reason for that fence."
Alternative Action’s perspective on peace
explains much: “Alternative Action views
conflict between the Jewish people and other natives of the Middle East as an
unnatural situation brought about by external forces. Because the closest people in the world to the Jews are the other
indigenous peoples of our region, we strive for unity and peace as
an ideal stemming from our belief that the Semitic peoples are brothers bonded
together by common culture, ancestry and values.”
Some other fun facts to know:
- · LAVI and others support the racist thugs of the BLM movement who essentially function as a black KKK in America.
- · Alternative Action praised Fidel Castro as a great man when he died. A veritable butcher of innocents, and they saw fit to praise him!
I have opined on the threat of Arab nationalism and Islam
many times before. And yet the examples of barbarism never end. Though his
favorite meal is Jewish blood, the Arab/Islamic Amalekites will spill the blood
of anything they deem antagonistic to sharia law. Including British
school-children at an Ariana pop concert in Manchester. No one is safe, not
even those clueless European anti-Semites who favor the savage over the Jew,
and who sympathize with the mythical "Arab plight". We are dealing
with the epitome of evil, a corruption so thorough and complete it usually
negates the possibility for rehabilitation. This is the lesson of Amalek. Deal
with evil totally and destroy it, or be totally consumed by the very same force
you refused to recognize.
- Tragically, many mainstream, respectable right-wing hasbara personalities are flirting with these movements. When violence strikes Israel, such types will step away for a time, but their willingness to attend some of these events and give credence to these organizations and people, is a troubling example of the fickle nature of people. And of the continued inability of Jews to face ugly truths.
These new groups love hashtags
because it appeals to millennials who often see these groups as an avenue to
express their Judaism, in a manner which satisfies their liberal proclivities.
So, for any free-thinking liberals, here are a few hashtags of my own. They
contain essential truths which Jewish history has shown time and time again.

Perverting The Law Of Mercy: Part II
Like so many leftist rags today, The Times of
Israel is a popular online magnet to disseminate anti-Jewish values. A
forum of filth where moral defectives frequently share their relativism with a
large and often shockingly ignorant audience.
For Jewish writers, The Times of Israel will gladly share your
writings if you meet the following criteria:
- you are an aggressive
advocate for gay rights
- you are an
unprincipled “hasbara” activist with an agenda, or a prominent messianic
hasbara activist
- you are a member
of a reform, liberal, or “open-orthodox” movement or organization
- you are a card-carrying member of the
“Women of the Wall” or a militant shrill feminist eager to rant about the
evils of rabbinical patriarchy
- you are a
peacenik, or a radical halachic innovator
- you mock and
denigrate Torah values
In order to retain some modicum of credibility, some “conservative”
or “right-wing” bloggers are permitted a place at the table, provided they moderate
their sentiments and refrain from tackling provocative issues. On the other
hand, if you maintain some principles and write something that rocks their
general liberal sentiments, they will probably remove your article. This
explains the ever-growing number of hasbara “right-wingers” who suddenly have a
problem with TOI. When most writers complain about them, it usually follows a
bit of professional narcissism. The script is predictable. One of their
articles was removed and now they have a complex. In truth, any one with eyes
can see that most of their featured articles are of a type. So why should anyone
expect leftists to suddenly play fair?
I am proud to say that several years back my second
article for TOI was the last one I ever wrote for them. The editors bounced me
out so fast after I wrote an unflattering article about President Obama.
Evidently, their original assumptions about a curly haired nature loving guy
from the remote Negev were way off.
My writing is generally reactive to what I perceive to
be societal dysfunction. The Times of Israel is often a good source to
go fishing for freaks, in the same manner that I peruse other liberal forums to
search for material. It is a medium to discover the dysfunctional faces of
contemporary Judaism.
One of the TOI’s more notorious editors frequently receives
criticism for her liberal views, where she often beats her chest for “oppressed
Palestinians” and vilifies normative Torah values and traditions. In many ways,
she is a caricature of a caricature, in the form of the archetypal misguided
self-righteous liberal Jew. If you created her character as a work of fiction,
no one would believe you. She is often taken to task for her articles. All of
it is well deserved. But she is an easy target.
Many other writers fall under the radar, since they
lack her notoriety. Some time ago, I wrote an article, “Perverting
the Law of Mercy” in response to an article by Rabbi Daniel Landes entitled
“Rachmanut for Gaza.” Here we had a purported religious Rabbi expressing a
thoroughly un-Jewish position by advocating mercy for ghouls (in the manner of
all merciful Jewish fools), and I felt it required a response. A chillul Hashem
unanswered is a chillul Hashem run amuck.
Michael Lesher is another such deviant, and his recent
article,
“Crime and Punishment”: Fadi Qunbar, Elor Azaria and Israel’s Occupation”
was one of the more grotesque things I have read in a while. Thus, Part II of
the same title was born. Michael Lesher identifies as an orthodox Jew, and his
opening comments speaks volumes about his mindset and the kind of pornographic
views we can expect from him:
“First of all, I do not want to write about Elor Azaria.
He is a cipher: a smirking, undersized bully who murdered a helpless Palestinian because the State of Israel put a rifle into his
hands, corrupted him with a racist ideology, and hardened his conscience with a
50-year-long military occupation of the West Bank – to which Azaria added
another victim last March.”
I found it ironic that a man whose
profile pic accompanying his article resembles the visage of a grinning cartoon
villain (pencil moustache, contrived smirk where the eyes betray the smile!)
would have the gall to write about “a smirking, undersized bully.” Elor Azaria
killed a terrorist. Yet in a shocking admission of Sodom morality, Lesher
mourns the terrorist and vilifies the hero. Yet in accordance with the wisdom
of never judging a book by the cover, the rest of the article betrays that in
this case, the content is indeed FAR worse than the cover.
“But I do want to
write a few words about Fadi Qunbar, the young Palestinian father of 4 who, on
January 8, became yet another casualty of Israel’s occupation.
Yes, that Fadi Qunbar
– the Fadi Qunbar whose life is now summed up in the media under the single
word “terrorist,” because he used his truck to kill 4 soldiers of the enemy
force occupying his land before their comrades gunned him down. The Fadi Qunbar
whose death was not even counted in the headlines that
screamed about “4 Killed in Jerusalem Attack” – four soldiers, that is –
because a dead Palestinian cannot be mentioned in the same breath as Israelis,
just as the newspapers that mourned his oppressors could not spare the ink to
correctly identify the site of Qunbar’s death as “occupied East Jerusalem.”
After reading these sick sentiments, the following words danced
through my head. “And to the informer may
there be no hope” ……
Fadi Qunbar. The same Arab beast who plowed his truck into four
beautiful young Jews and murdered them. Injured scores of others. Fadi Qunbar.
A genuine man-ghoul who ended the life of the pure and the innocent because of
his burning Jew hatred and his bloodlust to finish the Mufti’s quest.
Putting
aside for a moment Lesher’s grotesque leftist views relating to his imagined
“occupation,” his sympathy for a demon says everything we need to know about
him. His hatred and callousness towards the brutal murder of fellow Jews is the
reason Chazal had such harsh words for such people. Lesher would
have made an effective capo or judenrat, since his writings, in effect, play
the same role. One who would destroy his brother. One who has no love for
another Jew. One who makes the perverse association of “victim” with a modern-day
Nazi.
The four murdered soldiers were murdered because they
were Jews, and in addition to the fact that they were soldiers committed to
protecting fellow Jews, halachically they sanctified G-d’s Name. They are truly
righteous Jews. Michael Lesher is a sneering self-hating grub, who lacks the
morality of a sewer rat. Generally, we should love our fellow Jews, despite our
differences. But then are other types of Jews. Villains who eagerly join hands
with the enemy, to fight against their fellow brothers. For such people, the Torah
mandates that we only show them hatred. And even in the absence of Rabbinical
courts, there were often harsh measures meted out to such dangerous
personalities.
Lesher’s article represents yet another low for TOI.
Any forum which would feature such abominable views (and they frequently do!)
should be vilified and exposed for what they are. Jews need to stop pretending
that TOI used to be better. It was always a cesspool. But a cesspool rarely
becomes cleaner with time. And given the general erosion of values, one can
expect continued regression.
The word “Erev Rav” (mixed multitude) is often thrown
around incorrectly, sometimes falling upon the heads of who do not deserve it.
Michael Lesher is certainly a representative of the mixed multitude. The same
can be said for those who would publish such filth. Lesher is a self-hating
anomaly (presumably with a kipah) with
a twisted soul. Sometimes a kipah reflects an awareness of The Almighty, by
sitting squarely on our brainbox and reminding us that G-d exists. Other times,
it merely covers a hollow head.
The Lesher’s of the world are welcome on TOI, since
the latter love nothing better than sickos with kipot or pretenses of
“orthodoxy,” to justify their own misguided beliefs. Michael Lesher is the worst
kind of Jew, and despite his self-identification he is about as “orthodox” as
the Pope, or a Satanist. A quick perusal of the web illustrates what he is. A
self-hating cretin willing to write for The
Electronic Intifada. He is an enemy. A diseased soul who sides with Arab murderers
in their genocidal war with our people. Chazal had much to say about such
defectives and none of it is good. There is really nothing more to say about
such people. Like the Neturei Karta, they are the enemy. May they all merit the
same fate as their beloved “victims.”

LAVI Exposed
Why is LAVI, a Jewish "indigenous rights" movement, a dangerous organization?
- Among other things, LAVI is involved in defending Israel based upon our supposed Jewish indigenous rights (premised on bad history and science, and irrelevant to the thinking person) and see this as a viable means of defending our Jewish connection to Israel. As such, LAVI de-emphasizes the Divine claim, which represents our only true claim to the land. For further information on the foolishness of Jewish indigenous rights activists, check out the following articles where I elaborate on this issue: http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/263683/2016/03/03/ http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/we-are-still-not-indigenous-a-counter-response/2016/03/28/
- Unlike other pro-Israel groups which seek to deny indigenous status to Arabs in Israel based upon their selective interpretation of the term, LAVI grants this identity to Arabs and based upon this, see them as "partners" for peace. It matters little for the G-d-fearing individual, since the Torah gives Am Yisrael the entire land, and when the halachic criteria of Jewish control of the land is met, neither Arabs nor any gentiles have the right to reside in the land, if they don't meet the halachic criteria for "resident strangers". In any event, LAVI is in actuality a peace movement and they endanger the Jewish people with foolish ventures. For more on this aspect of LAVI and similiar organizations, check out the following article: http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/columns/fuchs-focus/the-new-indigenous-right-hardline-or-soft-boiled/2016/05/22/
- LAVI embraces the vile and violent black supremacist movement "Black Lives Matter", whose members include those with blood on their hands, and many more who support and celebrate such actions. BLM terrorists are responsible for murdering innocent cops in America (black and white) and ordinary citizens. They desire a race war and in this regard they are merely a mirror image of the KKK but with more credibility among the left. See: http://thejudeanhammer.blogspot.co.il/2016/08/ignorance-begets-wickedness.html
- LAVI foments discord between Jews by presenting a false skewed image of romanticized non-white "indigenous Jewry" and a colonized westernized Ashkenazic Jewry which needs to "de-colonize" and "reclaim" it's identity. Judaism is comprised of many peoples and neither color, language, or region define us. The Torah alone is our standard. If Ashkenazic Jewry is no more authentic than Sephardic Jewry, neither is it less so.
This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. More to come.

Monsters Exist: Judaism’s Cognizance of Evil
“To most of us nothing is so invisible as
an unpleasant truth. Though it is
held before our eyes, pushed under our noses, rammed down our throats-we know
it not.”-Eric Hoffer, “The
Passionate State of Mind, and Other Aphorisms (1955)
“The
soul that has conceived one wickedness, can nurse no good thereafter.”-Sophocles
The Moral Lies We Tell
Torah is truth personified. Yet some truths cannot be
said. We recognize that lying is odious. Yet some lies are permitted, such as
the lies we tell to shield people from embarrassment or to protect the
innocent. When we occasionally lie to our children to insulate them from things
that no child should know about, we do so with a clear conscience. Lies of
omission, lies of calculation. All for the good of the child.
To assuage their fears when they are very young, we assure
them that there are no such things as childhood monsters with horns, fur, and
teeth. In time, we teach them that while there are indeed wild creatures in
this world with teeth and hearty appetites, civilized societies don’t have
predatory animals roaming about. But what about the true monsters in this
world, the human monsters who exist? How do we broach these topics?
We don’t. We avoid the question of those products of
nature and nurture who commit acts as terrifying as any imaginary construct. The
developing child approaches us with their ever expanding brains and the
consequential concerns. We counter their inquiries. They bring it to us. No
normal rational parent introduces these concepts.
Children first have a notion of robbers, and this
often becomes the first anxiety relating to the real world. The killers, the
rapists, the human predators, these are extensions of the first fear. The man
who enters the home. The man who creeps about in the night while we sleep. When
this first fear is articulated, we evade difficult questions with comforting
solutions, to assure them of their safety, and help them mature into functional
people, without the handicap of excessive anxiety. We pray to G-d that they will
never meet such people, neither in childhood nor their adult lives. We tell them
lies. We protect them as best we can. But life can be ugly.
Monsters in Our Midst
“You gave me a present and now I am returning it
to you.”-Hallel’s mother Rena
Ariel; at her murdered daughter’s funeral
A teenage girl’s bedroom should be the safest place in
the world for her, a haven of privacy and seclusion. And in the normal world,
it usually is. But not in Kiryat Arba, where the Jewish populace is
surrounded by Arab barbarians. Home may be a man’s castle in his mind, but
unguarded castles are easily stormed. Even within the illusion of gated
communities, and electronic fences, and security patrols, these measures are
only as good as the people maintaining them.
And when the mythology of security is shattered it is
devastating. An insane image, impossible to fathom: a child’s bedroom drenched
in her own blood. Portrait of Hallel

17-year-old Arab monster named Muhammad Tarayrah, who climbed through her bedroom window and stabbed her to
death as she slept.
May G-d avenge Hallel’s blood. And may
Hashem teach the Arabs of Kiryat Arba, the environs, and of Greater Israel the
justice of the ancient city of Shchem.
Outside the realm of hasbara fantasy, most Israelis are
unarmed and vulnerable, and although many people oppose the draconian laws
which permit only the elite to obtain a legal weapon to protect themselves,
many are not even bothered. In such a society, the terminally enlightened concern
themselves with “restraint,” the rights of murderers, and perpetuating the
system of apprehending terrorists. Such a society breeds weakness, because it
denies the common man the most basic right of all, the right to live. The kind
of society where the worst of humankind terrorize the innocent.
Whether maimed or murdered, or damned to witness the
former, when people encounter human monsters their lives are ruined. In the
same way that no one who survived the Holocaust can truly ever be “normal,” how
can one who saw his parents gunned down or stabbed to death or hacked to bits, ever
know normalcy? Can a society forced to endure endless Arab atrocities even appreciate
the concept of normalcy?
There is no dearth of monsters in Israel. Man-beasts
who resemble man but act less human than carnivores. Men who cast away their humanity
and choose the evil. Arabs nursed on ideations of suicide/homicide martyrdom
and are given every opportunity to actualize their madness. Arabs who stab
babies in cribs and detonate themselves in the marketplace to attain said “martyrdom”
and the depraved fantasies of Islam’s sexual pathology. Those Arab
“passion-plays”, obscene Arabs theater featuring school children who reenact
the slaughter of Jews. And Arabs who stab teenage girls in their bedrooms.
And still the left and clueless governments continue
to perpetuate the myth of good Arabs. Of reasonable Arabs. Of Arabs who want to
live in peace with Jews. These same politicians have the nerve to attend Jewish
funerals and pay shiva calls. They speak of protecting Jews and yet Jews
are sitting ducks in Israel. On many roads, Jews are targets for Arab snipers
or cinder blocks. Or firebombs to burn his wife and children to death or
destroy a little girl’s face. Even crossing the street in Jerusalem or buying
milk can become an ordeal, should the Arab knife frenzy return, or the Arabs
rediscover their predilection for crushing Jews with automobiles.
The government never calls for vengeance. Social media
outlets for military and government speak of the murdered “of blessed memory”, the
tamest of words suggesting that a murdered Jew slipped away in the night from
old age. “May G-d avenge her blood” is considered the refrain of extremists. Netanyahu
blasts Abbas and the “PA” for incitement. If as the sages of old taught us, the
wise man is one who foresees the future, then the fool pokes out his own eyes
and sees nothing. What on G-d’s earth did Bibi think he would accomplish?
Compel Abbas to repent?
Thank G-d the latest Arab terror attack in Jerusalem
was thwarted. But in Israel, the positive is laced with negative. Averted
bloodshed doesn’t preclude the possibility of future bloodshed. On the
contrary. Israel’s ethic of “do-the-least harm was on display. The terrorist
was apprehended rather than having his head blown off. He will sit for a time,
and as sure as the day is long, he will be part of a future prisoner release, as
one with ‘no blood on his hands’. And when he is released, he will attempt to
rectify his failure.
In Israel, the uncompromising warrior is often treated
like a fiend, or a lawless vigilante. A soldier such as Elor Azaria who kills an Arab terrorist is a hero, and
any "Jewish" government that punishes such a warrior is
reprehensible. I don't care if the creature was trussed up like a Thanksgiving
Turkey. Or whether or not the ghoul had an explosive. A bullet to the head is
the Jewish response. You can bet your last shekel that King David would have
agreed. The witch-hunt against Azaria shrieks of Jewish degradation. Such actions
are the antidote to Jewish funerals.
The
double standard is jarring. The Left gets away with incitement to murder.
Academics, journalists, activists, etc. They can say anything on twitter,
Facebook or in a prominent paper. Military men can compare Israeli society to
the society that birthed the disease of Nazism. Without any consequence. All
during a “right-wing” government. Several months ago, the morally defective
leftist editor of Walla News Roy Baharir Perl called for Arab terrorists
to attack a “right-wing” Jewish concert. While this incitement was spread all
over social media, our government tortured and imprisoned innocent Jews, on a
witch-hunt to seek out supposed "Jewish terrorists". If Perl was a
right-winger, he would have been hanging upside down within the hour while Shabak
agents pummeled him.
A
government who refuses to protect the Nation and imprisons those who do, sends a
message that 1) Jewish lives aren’t valued. 2) Jewish deaths are acceptable if
the threshold of “acceptable losses” doesn’t remarkably change the status quo. 3)
that Rabin’s perverse notion of “karbanot” for an impossible peace is pragmatic.
A government and a society which spurns the gift of Jewish strength and holds
its fire has blood on its hands. Jewish history will recall these sins born of
weakness and self-loathing, whose consequences destroy lives and those of the
survivors. Orphans and widows and parents who bury their young. Of sons and
daughters who shriek “Abba”, as their beloved father is interred into the
earth. Of a mother who one day drove her girl to dance class, and the next day
spills tears stands over her murdered corpse.
Given
Israel’s torturous form of government where a hodgepodge of groups usually
forms a coalition, the question remains: How precisely to coordinate and
implement the proper framework for genuine change? There are no easy answers,
since yesterday’s best tactics are not necessarily feasible and today's are
useless. We need to use the best resources of our age. However, short of
an undeserved miracle, nothing short of mass civil disobedience will make a
dent in the government's armor. When society wakes up and takes to the streets in
unprecedented numbers, we will see the possibility for change. Articles and
videos will not bring about change, no matter how provocative, powerful, or
reasoned. They may cause people to think. They may inspire people, but nothing
short of authentic societal grassroots effort on the ground, can rehabilitate
our collective Jewish soul.
The
pernicious effect of havlaga can only be cleansed with Jewish strength
and unrelenting power. There is no place on earth for mercy with the Arabs.
Truly, they are the Am Lak-a nation that laps Jewish blood. The company
of man-eating lions is preferable. When Arabs kill Jews it is perverse to
celebrate our humanity with assurances that “we love while they hate”. Of
course we are not like them. And that is precisely why the Torah demands that
we destroy the wicked. The failure to do so, results in OUR slaughter. It is
time to scream and demand that our government deals with the Arabs once and for
all, before the next round of Jewish funerals.
Those
terrible funerals. Those horrifying images of parents clinging and shrieking
over the small inanimate bodies of their children all dressed in shrouds, awaiting
the final journey. I prefer the funerals of my enemies. And every Arab funeral
where the blood-crazed jinn celebrate their shahid is a G-d given
opportunity to bomb them to smithereens. Whole villages of Arab terror can be obliterated
this way.
When
Moshiach arrives, he will be pressed to
identify Amalek. I am convinced that this most noble of men (may we see the
redemption in our times) will open his eyes wide with puzzlement: “Are you serious”, he will say? “They are all around you!”
“Pour
out YOUR wrath against the nations, who know YOU not.” During the joy of the
Passover seder, we call for vengeance against the evil nations. Some
distorted modern commentaries try to minimize the significance of this powerful
refrain in the Haggadah. It is significant and provocative. Unabashed
and unapologetic. The wicked deserve punishment, and unlike petty revenge
against a fellow Jew which is forbidden, this is something we long to see.
Jewish outrage as a counter to apathy and indifference. Strength and dignity to
repair the degradation, and self-respect for Torah and Halacha, rather than a
systematic attempt to explain away halachic obligations. With such a mindset,
we can finally deal with the Arabs.
We
need more of the teachings of torat Moshe Rabbeinu, and less of the arrogance
of Moshe Dayan. More of the glory of King David and less of David Ben Gurion’s
Ghandi-esque havlaga. And truth be told, we need more of Shimon and Levi whose
righteous zeal for their sister brought the city of Shchem to its knees. And lastly,
we need more of Shimshon Hagibor, who terrified and terrorized the Philistine enemy.

Friendly Foes: The Subtle Missionary
In our war
with the Arabs, the Jewish Achilles heel is personified by the neurotic need
for gentile friends, and the desire to create such friends where there are
none. In a world where too many Jews ignore the timeless truism, “Esau hates Jacob” we should ask
ourselves the following: Who are our true gentile friends? Perhaps a better
question would be: can Jews truly have friends whose views are contrary to Torah
and the ideal values of a Jewish Israel? All too often, Jew label others as
friends, even when these same groups have ulterior motives. Here are a few of
my thoughts on such friendships and how to discern the validity of a
friendship.
#1: True friends don’t have agendas.
That’s the litmus test to determine if one has a true friend. True friends gain
and benefit from the friendship itself, and require nothing in return. The
friendship isn’t a forum for their own causes and agendas, or a platform to
define their vision for Israel on our behalf. Nor is it a vehicle to profit and fund-raise for themselves. If a supposed friend is creating a false association to
perpetuate an agenda, he may not be a friend. Not every person has the most nefarious
motives. Oftentimes self-interest alone defines the supposed friend. An
important note. A true friend has no interest in molding you, patronizing you,
or defining you.
#2: Friends don’t have ulterior
motives. Certainly not theological ones. The Jew has few if any real gentile
friends in the world. I say few because there are gentiles who support Israel
without dark motives. Yet the evangelical is not one of them, despite the millions
of dollars pouring into Israel, and the sea of Christian pilgrims happy to take
a dip in the Yardenit. The definition of evangelism precludes this possibility.
One who desires to see Jews embrace Jesus can never be a friend. The Jew in
Israel thinks he has a friend in the evangelical. The evangelical would not
give a shekel (or a half shekel!) to Israel if his shekel didn’t earn him
entrance. The millions thrown at Israel come with a heavy price. A foothold in
the land. Without the latter, they would abandon Israel for other targets. If Israel’s
missionary laws had any teeth, the evangelicals would love us from afar.
#3: True friends don’t associate with missionaries. Friends don’t align with those who openly declare
their intent to convert Jews. And friends don’t ignore a telling honest website
because of a smiling face, and the pastor’s ability to discuss the NBA, or a
shared appreciation for American conservative values. The first and second
degrees of separation are telling enough. “Woe
to the wicked, woe to his neighbor.” Associations define us. If your parve evangelical friend has ties to
missionaries, it means you didn’t heed Rule #2.
This
should be obvious to any self-respecting person, but the lure of cash and
benefits is enticing for many Jews. True friends aren’t interested in land
deals or real estate in Israel. True friends don’t desire Israeli citizenship
or long-term visas. Certainly, they have no interest in building missionary
centers in Jerusalem. Those Jews who think evangelicals are our friends betray
their ignorance of what it means to be evangelical.
The most
dangerous missionaries in Israel today are not the coarse street missionaries (dangerous
as they are) whose aggressive tactics are apparent. The clever
ones are far more dangerous because they have a foothold and respectability.
They are in our communities. They are even in our vineyards praising “The
Father.” Torah Jews need to open
their eyes. Stop fixating solely on the lightning rod of “Jews for Jesus.” The
subtle ones are more dangerous.
We have enough problems in Israel with a skewed law of
return, and the complicated problem of proper conversions. Our missionary laws
are toothless, and yet they are the only tools to stop the predators. The
spiritual dangers facing Am Yisrael
threaten our spiritual integrity, and ultimately our physical survival as a
Divine consequence, as surely as the Arab Amalekites who want to slaughter us.
The evangelicals
have gotten Rabbis to declare that their presence is a sign of prophetic
fulfillment. Social Media is inundated with more than a few Jews defending “Christian
Zionists” and accusing those of us who oppose them as hateful, liars. The
evangelical has learned that he can get away with murder if he tempers his word
and his exuberance, and is quick to remove the occasional problematic video
that an overzealous pilgrim posted. If he learns to constantly change the lingo
for more parve semantics, he can go
very far. Don’t say Jesus. Say “the Father”. Don’t talk about the new covenant.
Say “Restoration".
The
evidence is all around us in Israel, in every park with a CUFI plaque, and
every interfaith-conference and prayer service comprised of Christian and Jew. Today, there are evangelicals living in
Israel in a prominent Torah community, all with the collusion of religious Jews
& rabbis. The few Jews who opposed them were cast out of the community. The
hope of 2000 years? This is a veritable nightmare.
And the repercussions of these harmful unions are not
monolithic. Those of us who are privy to the problem recognize that the
infection will spread in unforeseeable ways. The day will come when Israel gives hundreds and
perhaps thousands of evangelicals’ honorary citizenship as righteous gentiles.
Jews will shake their heads and kvetch when the issue becomes a problem. They
will say “you cannot do anything today; they should have done something then”.
Today is tomorrow’s “then”.
There is still time to rectify the mistakes.
However, we need to get aggressive in exposing this multifaceted threat. As
long as Likud leadership cozies up to evangelical money, then we have no
recourse via the government. And as long as kipah wearing Jews shill for these
predators, and Rabbis are blinded by a modern form of false messianism, things
will only get worse.
The
Heartland of Israel is riddled with missionaries who want Israel to retain
every inch of our liberated land for a theological agenda. Jews who turns to
Esau to fight Ishmael, has simply exchanged the armed crusader for the olive
branch of evangelism. This is no victory.
I’ve heard more than a few of these Jewish enablers denying
the danger of these groups, and assuring the public that neither they nor these
groups have any association with missionaries. A proper search of the web
reveals that these same individuals have on many occasion been caught on camera
with overt missionaries. And their “parve” friends aren’t shy either when it
comes to associating with the crudest missionaries. These self-appointed Jewish
leaders recognize no boundaries. In truth, they are a byproduct of the
collective rabbinic silence and reticence to discuss what they often bemoan in
private.
In truth,
the Jew has few genuine friends who come in the name of religion. The Bnai
Noach represent the lone gentile community that can genuinely call himself a
friend, since they desire the sanctification of Hashem’s name in
the framework of the Torah. Of course, gentiles identified as Bnai Noach are
hard to find, small in number, and they aren’t as well financed.
Choosing the hand of Esau to defeat the sword of Ishmael is suicide.
The scourge of missionizing both classical and clever, and Heaven forbid the
eventual likelihood of Jewish apostasy, idolatrous admixtures, deceptive
conversions, and even Christian Jewish unions resulting from such poison
alliances, will ensure Divine punishment. In the war with Amalek, we don’t arm
ourselves with idolatry.
If we ignore the problem, and Jews today are ignoring the
problem, our children and grandchildren will pay the price. And it will be a
heavy price for the Jewish people. If we learn anything from the zealous Maccabees,
it is that we Jews never traded Jewish blood for the Jewish soul. We fight for
the latter with our dying breathe.

Reflections on Concerts
After reading about the recent concert in
support of our imprisoned hero soldier Azariya, a few thoughts came to
mind.
While it is always commendable when Jews take
public measures to highlight injustice against fellow Jews, I want to point out
the following. Concerts will not help free this heroic innocent soldier, nor
will any "civil" protests, which mean nothing to the government. The system is notorious for crushing all efforts which use the system to bring genuine change.
Nothing short of mass civil obedience
will ever make a dent in the government's armor. When society wakes up and
rises in unprecedented numbers to take to the streets, only then will we see
the possibility for change. I thoroughly disagree
with those well-intended people who view the recent concert as a new page in
Jewish indignation against government corruption. It is a knee-jerk reaction to
something which affected many people. It has happened before and will happen
again.
On a similar note, articles and video posts
are not enough to bring about change. No matter how provocative, powerful, or
reasoned. They may cause people to think and hopefully to act. They may inspire
people. But nothing short of authentic Jewish activism, a societal grassroots
effort on the ground, are the real means for rehabilitating the sickness which
pervades our government, and our collective Jewish soul.
A friend of mine agreed with my
recent video which addressed the "sick nature" of the governments of
Israel, but added that the Nation is also sick because it tolerates the abuse.
I agree wholeheartedly. We are a sick and beaten people. My friend and fellow
blogger at "Esser Agaroth" uses the psychological
term "learned helplessness" to describe what is going on in Israel.
While the morally defective leftist editor of
"Walla News", Roy Baharir Perl can call for Arab terrorists to attack
a Jewish concert without consequence, Bibi and his cadre of traitors are
torturing and imprisoning innocent Jews, and seeking our supposed "Jewish
terrorists cells" which exist in their minds alone. If Perl was deemed a right-winger,
he would be hanging upside down at this very moment while Shabbak capos pummeled
him in his privates and vitals. A normal society would throw this judenrat to
the sharks, or better yet, hang him for treason.
The real question remains: How precisely to coordinate
and implement the proper framework for causing genuine change in Israel? This
is the discussion we need to start having among ourselves. The answer will not be found in the sudden rise of concerts or the respectable efforts of social media activism, which may be important tools in disseminating
the message but are insufficient themselves. In truth, this is the
ultimate goal of this blog. To graduate to a grassroots movement engaging in
more than intellectual ruminations. To become something more.
Feel free to share your views. but do so with
reason and discretion. Don't play into the hands of Israel's Bolshevik
"Big Brother".
Chag Sameach.
